Spain u21 Vs England u21: Two of the top sides clash in Group B of the UEFA U21 Championships on Sunday. England were excellent in qualifying beating with a notable victory over Romania who had won 8 of their last 10 matches. Spain under 21′s are the tournament favourites; Bwin gives odds of 2.75 for Luis Milla’s side to win the competition. La Furia Roja, or Red Fury, beat Croatia under 21s 5-1 on aggregate in a playoff to qualify for the tournament, after winning six out of their eight group qualification games.
England have established themselves as one of the finest Under 21 sides on the continent since Pearce took the helm in 2007, having reached the semi-final stage four years ago and then finished runners-up in Sweden. England manager Stuart Pearce has reignited the 'club v country' row into the lead up to the game after Kieran Gibbs was the latest player to withdraw from his squad. It means Pearce is now without four of six players with experience of the senior squad, although his under 21s have often saved their best for the big matches.
