Mount Elizabeth Hospital : stop for all medical treatments


Mount Elizabeth Hospital the hospital specializes in cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience, among other tertiary services. Since 1995, it is owned by Parkway Holdings Ltd.

The Saudi Ministry of Health has stopped all treatment of Saudis at a Singapore hospital after three Saudi children died there in one week. The Saudi Gazette newspaper reported those two girls and a boy died between May 14 and 20. Mount Elizabeth Hospital is a 373-bed private hospital in Singapore operated by Parkway Health. It was started in 1976 and officially opened in 8 December 1979 The children, who are believed to be between one and three years old, had been referred to the hospital for bone marrow transplants. However, Mount Elizabeth Hospital chief executive officer Kelvin Loh told MediaCorp on Wednesday they were complex cases and "critically ill when admitted to our care, with some limited chance for survival.
