Golden Village

The restaurant activity is astounding. Three blocks along Alexandra Road, skirting the Golden Village, are fondly called Eat Street for the sheer density of restaurants lining the blocks Golden Village is a cinema operator based in Singapore which is a joint venture by Golden Harvest of Hong Kong and Village Roadshow of Australia. It operates nine multiplexes and cineplexes in the country including a largest cineplex at VivoCity.

Golden village was constructed and opened for general public on the 28th of May of the year 1992. Initially it was named as Yishun 10 but the name was soon changed to the Golden Village owing to its huge name and humongous popularity. This is among the first multiplexes of the great continent of Asia and it is Singapore’s leading cinema house.
